Oxfam has called for more taxes on extreme wealth. The UK's richest 1% produced more carbon pollution in 8 days than the poorest 50% did in a year. Oxfam also says a billionaire has an investment portfolio which will produce annual emissions of 400k petrol cars. www.theguardian.com/environment/...

Renewable energy produced a record amount of electricity in Great Britain in 2025, with wind the biggest renewable source of electricity & electricity generated by solar up a third. But Britain's electricity grid still leans too heavily on gas, which was up in 2025. www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...
