One of the lessons of the Trump era, for me anyway, is to stop assuming people are good simply because they present as normal, decent people.

I agree that the senators who made the video are asking service members to assume too much risk in disobeying potentially illegal orders. The responsibility to fix this is on Congress.

Guidance from Democrats to disobey illegal orders is of no use to our service members
Military orders carry, per law, a presumption of legality, as long as the order relates to a military duty and is given by a proper authority.

A sickening new escalation.
Local police officers and sheriffs in Mobile, Alabama, are abducting a man from the waiting room of a car dealership mechanic shop on behalf of ICE/DHS. During the kidnapping, he is administered an unidentified sedative.

I got my flu shot there yesterday and was thinking this same thing as I walked around. It’s so infuriating because I loved Target. I probably shopped there more than any other place for the last 14 years.

Yep. so so dumb.

Daughter and I got flu shots today. My family got the flu in Feb 2020, right before Covid. It was the worst! πŸ€’ Three of us had it and son was so sick he went to the ER where a test confirmed it was the flu. The two who didn’t get sick had received flu shots.

Friendly reminder to get yours. :)

An Oregon pilot program giving cash to homeless youths sees a staggering reduction in homelessness. The program gave participants $1,000 cash payments each month for two years, and at the end of the project's first phase, 91% of participants reported being in stable housing.

Trump is a sadist. He hopes people will carry out his call to murder his enemies. He loves the brutalization of immigrants and thinks ICE isn’t brutal enough. He loves ordering murders in international waters. His lust for violence/murder was well known by 2015 for anyone paying attention.

Zohran Mamdani doesn’t make me, an American Jew, feel unsafe.

Having the Coast Guard, which falls under the Department of Homeland Security, decide that a swastika isn’t really a symbol of hate? That makes me, an American Jew, feel pretty damn unsafe.
