The recovery & reconstruction of #Ukraine must include its media sector, not as an afterthought, but as a cornerstone of resilience, democratic accountability & stability, I said at our event on “Journalists’ Safety in Conflict Times” co-organized with @UKRinOSCE & @ItalyatOSCE.
The bomb attack targeting investigative journalist Sigfrido Ranucci & his family in #Italy is disturbing. I welcome the swift investigation launched by the Anti-Mafia Investigation Division and look forward to the prosecution. Violence against journalists must not go unpunished.
