We're doing this now?
A lot of things bother me about the "hustle & grind" culture so many people are falling for, but the main one is positioning lack of sleep as a virtue. "I can get by on four hours a night." My friends! Sleep is a joy! It's free! It's bliss! What are we DOING here??

I always thought if I lost the extra weight I've carried for years, I'd be subtle and demure about the transformation. Instead I'm finding excuses to wear a tanktop to the library or answer the door in my underpants. Disgusting and vain both!

I'm really charmed by the promo cycle of Party Malala

How do I become one of those press junket gays who get to badger aging actresses to recite lines from movies that come out 40 years ago? Is there like a test I can take or

Today was an A+ day. Awful man died, great man rose to power, my cousin named her beautiful baby Julia James (!!!), made new friend, hooked up, had fish and chips, and rehearsed a play tonight where my only task was to convincingly fall on the fattest part of my ass. Life GRAND

Made out with a guy at a Halloween party last night and we thought we'd snuck away discreetly but neither of us noticed that his makeup was all over my face until some drunk girl announced it to EVERYONE

My trouble as an actor is, regardless of the play or role, I always look a little bit flouncy. I'm supposed to be a king crushed by the weight of his past here in our promo shot but I'm giving real dandy vibes in my scarlet cloak

Sorry, this AI picture of Linda Hunt holding her 90th birthday cake will necessarily consume the rest of my work day

If something I'm watching is British or mumbly or scored too loudly, those subtitles go right on. But then when I can hear/understand the actors, I'll try to avoid looking at the subtitles during those scenes as if that rewards them or myself somehow??

With Prunella Scales and Patricia Routledge gone, this means no more Ladies of Letters, a radio comedy starring the two of them as sniping old ladies corresponding with each other which ran for 13(!!!) years. Did I mention that I'm a massive homosexual? www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zz-_...

I've gone full 'lady staring at maths equations' at the idea that a long walk is 15 minutes.
One long walk beats short strolls for a healthy heart, study says
Walking for at least 15 minutes without stopping is ideal, according to new research.

Gonna write a Katy Perry jukebox musical about a closeted, goodhearted if inneffectual sweetie who must run the country while avoiding being nearly crushed by the legacy of his shrewd, powerful, dynamic father (who visits as a ghost accompanied by his girlfriends Barbra Streisand and Kim Cattrall)

When I was 16 I remember thinking, "If I never learn to drive, it'll all work out." Now I'm 42 and we have transit and uber and lyft and cabs all competition ferociously for my dollars. It all worked out!

It's a shame that so many charity pop singles like We Are The World or Do They Know It's Christmas are pretty bad songs that one one wants to listen to. But if a good song like Call Me Maybe had been donated to famine relief? Boom! No more famine

They should only use AI to replicate the Forensic Files narrator for just 1000 more episodes

Somehow in the transition from Twitter to BlueSky, everyone I follow became very political and very smart. All important and necessary evolutions! But I kinda miss *Don Pardo voice* "Dumb guys with boners!"

I've seen a couple recent Michael J. Fox interviews on Colbert and The View and in both, conversations are pre-recorded and edited without an audience, presumably to give Fox as much time and as many takes and he needs to be clear and concise. Classy and considerate of those outlets. MJF is awesome

"If you're not enjoying a book, don't keep reading it" is bad advice, sorry! Especially if the book comes recommended or is a classic. Just try! Challenge yourself! Maybe it gets great! The "don't finish a bad book" people are also the "We can do hard things!" people. Which is it?

After The Hunt is a bad movie with a clunky, overwrought script and truly terrible supporting performances from Andrew Garfield and Ayo Edebiri, yet somehow Julia is compelling and luminous throughout. When she's onscreen you can't take your eyes off her. What IS her power???

If this is due to illness and not Ozempic I take back any snark but gentlemen: don't fight the extra 10 pounds because you'll lose it in your face and age like Seacrest here

My trouble is, if I can't fall asleep, I engage in a certain... activity. Post activity, I must listen to some music. Then I'm down a YouTube rabbit hole of similar music and videos related to same, and suddenly it's 1:43 AM and I'm minute 4 into "Ava Max Vocal Coach Reacts"

A childhood friend of mine is big on posting those, "Our generation stayed out playing until it was dark! We didn't have cellphones, we made memories!" memes. This is a girl who got hit with a snowball, screamed like she'd been shot, insisted on calling her mother, and snowball fights were banned
