To say this is a problem is a gigantic understatement. We live in the golden age of AI slop. Hopefully we will soon gain the right control the algorithms that control our online life in order to filter out AI slop to a large degree.
The blue sky areas around the Mediterranean seem to map well with the areas at risk of desertification.
Just noticed that the Berkeley Earth data already has the 3-year average over 1.5C
@katharinehayhoe.com you might like this one. Fits with your approach.
Nice. Where one fits on the "Hypocrite Zealot" axis is a struggle. Leading voices justify "maximum impact" on the future rather than "minimise personal impact".

My problem is that my judgement is that we are in a way more perilous situation (planetary boundaries, tipping points, societal inertia)
3 year average just crossed 1.5C for Berkely Earth: bsky.app/profile/rees...
... Copernicus data will do so soon.

An amazing time. Solar, Wind, Batteries capacity shooting up at impressive rates (China adding ~100GW solar in one month).

... but CO2 ppm going up at fast(est?) rate, tipping points are toppling, and 7 of 9 planetary boundaries have been crossed. "Doing the right things" indeed.
Series 2, to tackle ecological overshoot?
Is anyone planning on training an AI with wads of cash taken unilaterally from a bank?

Something requiring more commitment, trust would be better. Top executives/shareholders/environment-agency to drink/swim in the rivers regularly. Same for any other river polluters. It presumably would filter up to the real costs of keeping a river healthy, and make some pollution uneconomic.
Another case where climate scientists limit their thinking to "on human timescales" or "by 2100" ?
The hot end to the year, in the northern hemisphere was foretold back in February ...

Downtown policy makers and their yes sayer echo chamber do not hear that plank feedback is lowering summer anomaly - have to watch cold region and season see NoV 2025(!) to see shocking warming! downtown still look strange when you mention wet bulb mass dead ☠️ or depletion&extinction is forever.
Don't worry. 4C is optimal

A blip would be good. The start of the great conflagration of forests would be bad.

Don't measure it, don't photograph it, and there's nothing to worry about.

Presumably jaxa, seaice.uni-bremen.de/start/ and Copernicus climate.copernicus.eu/sea-ice are all ok to continue?

Sad times.

... UK government: latest proposal is even worse. The home secretary, Shabana Mahmood, has announced that the police should be able to stop protests that have a “cumulative impact”, by recurring in the same place. She will also consider “powers to ban protests outright”.
