i don't like AI, obviously, i think it's bad that college students are using it to cheat courses. but that is not as indicative of personal laziness/failure as it is a collective realization that college's role has morphed from a learning tool into a performative job-seeking debt ritual.

I think with how much Fujimoto puts them as representatives of the side they're in (Miri with the CSM Church, Yoshida with PS, even their volume covers are put back to back), it's clear to me their fates might be connected to what he's trying to say in this part (among other things)
