Old comic from 2020 appears on Bluesky!
*stadium crowd cheering noise*

The awkward-winning Demon Bot Comic is here, with small adjustments and complete new art.
*crowd spontaneously breakdance*

And it's all free!
*It's for the exposure. That's what I'm apparently eating tonight*

I like how you got rough storyboards,THEN layouts defining details, and FINALLY real animation, CONTRARY to US animations trend last decade of near full animation and lines/layout, in storyboard phase 😰

Read deadlines were shorter, pay lower when they should triple time & salaries for the poor guys

I still get occasional email notifications of someone following me on Tumblr. Rarely used it, stopped using it long ago.
It's a special thing to see ghosts of the past still showing signs of life. Also have pixiv account with some art I haven't used in a long time as well.

I wonder if geocities...

Never thought I’d see the yen weaker than Canadian dollar. For some brief time Canadian dollar was stronger than US around early 2010s although it did nothing to lower prices in stores. Just more profits.
But as a kid I kept hearing how everything was super expensive in Japan for our money’s worth.

A party & media willing to support even obvious lies in the face of proof, you got convincing AI videos and speech, you got auto-signing machines.

What do you think may happen if the reaper gets to him away from public eye?

…how far do you think this party would go with these ingredients?

I think Ghost of Yotei is helping me "heal" through that buildup of anxiety that began mid December.

I even finished the Canada map, with British Columbia natives.

Oh wait, they were Ainu people.

Reposting doodles, without socio-cultural commentary. I'm not ready for this sort of debate XD

Looking at Enron and what’s been going now for years, it feels the reason US government arrested their administration wasn’t for the horrendous schemes they pulled, but because those horrendous schemes stopped pulling in money.
Otherwise how do you explain *sweeps hand across* this?

Part of this AI tech is also about reading and manipulating human behavior. There's been studies before I was born that were revealed how they used, for example, tricks in marketing to influence.
Now they're noodling around brains. Wonder how worse it's become and how nefariously it's being used.

Too many email interruptions while trying to find information on cryptic government website. So screw it: here's doodles of ELVES.
and sheesh it's already 4PM

Ok, feels being an independent worker/having enterprise number in Quebec is a massive headache. Can you guys in Ontario stop voting for Doug Ford so I can move back to the province?

Spent morning in bed and social media. wow. ok.

New contracts coming up real soon though. XD But I don’t typically do this. The day will feel too short.

Threads surpassed X in user count. Did they change how it works? When I tried long ago, it was worse than twitter and here, where it didn’t show your follow feed, not linearly anyways, and instead threw random stuff of “your interest” at you. Usual Meta formula people can’t seem to have enough of.

Trying to use markers before they dry out, forced to sketch on uncomfortable paper for it to not seep through, doing rookie mistakes. So used to computer colors now.

Some more screenshots.
Those don’t do it justice.
Looks better in motion as it’s nature is alive. It often reminded me of childhood and I hope we get more games with this sort of sheer beauty and realism in action adventure games. It’s sometimes “insane”.

The $30,000 bracket in Canada for independent work before being obligated to register/incorporate to then be forced to perceive taxes from clients hasn't been raised in decades despite massive inflation. Freaking upset, mere months before end of fiscal year.

I see these videos where foley artist have all the material they hurry to use live on video….wouldn’t they record sounds individually and merge them on separate layers in software? It’s like those movies pretending needing a full retake of an entire scene because in one shot there’s an interruption

🧵 Year 1 of Trump 2.0 has brought a constant barrage of norm-breaking aggressions against the press — from tightened access and investigations to lawsuits — aimed at those who dare to report unfavorably on the administration.

That article about Ai not making productivity, speed, nor profit gains, essentially ends with the main effect being they're outsourcing our jobs to India. 😅

AI Completely Failing to Boost Productivity, Says Top Analyst
AI may or may not excel at a lot of things, but from an economic standpoint, it's definitely not making us more productive.

If I directed an anime series, I'd make it 4:3, not overly rendered movie-quality backgrounds, get rid of white light desaturising gradients, focus on draftsmanship with room to be flexible: no tracing character 3d models. Line width variety+ texture hints.Characters not hesitating all the damn time

Over the years, in most places you'd you'd think they'd hire lots of artists, it seemed only management positions were available.

But probably it's that art tasks are harder to predict and plan accurately than most other fields, and lower pay than many other fields. So probably high turnover?
