Old comic from 2020 appears on Bluesky!
*stadium crowd cheering noise*

The awkward-winning Demon Bot Comic is here, with small adjustments and complete new art.
*crowd spontaneously breakdance*

And it's all free!
*It's for the exposure. That's what I'm apparently eating tonight*

Before that I had Smurfs, Snuggles, Strawberry Shortcake, LiteBrite, Popples, Wozzles, Teddy Ruxpin and Carebears, sonthe 90s helped detoxify from this a bit.

I grew up in a time when cartoons, even live action and ads, had moments where characters would go unhinged, extreme reactions to the merest thing, or for no reasons, eyeballs popping out and heads exploding. Ren and Stimpy was quite an example. So.
Yeah. I sometimes draw unhinged stuff. In dna now.

Got nothing on my mind, nope, not an inkling of creative thought, my muse is dead.

Hey how did I come to think about golf?

Oh you're supposed to give the treats after and not meanwhile? XD

Finished contract tasks after a month and a half. Brain is refusing to be creative. It's being lazy. It just sits there in my skull.

I like when I see the artist's signature on the cover of a comic book. When I notice there isn't one, I get the feeling I'm holding the equivalent of a plastic lunch box. And feel sad they keep their artists in the dark from us.

Saw a few of his shows on streaming. He seemed to take some time at the beginning to condition the audience into understanding the offensiveness of his words are humor

Woke up thinking I should add colors to this, so, huh, I did.

(what it means is laugh tracks help feel a social setting and confirmation that what you heard/saw's indeed funny therefore socially acceptable to emit laugh without awkwardness of being inappropriate. It helps elicit laughter
so "calling out the joke" can serve similar purpose.a bit too on the nose)
November 23, 2025 at 1:08 PM
Maybe just a parallel to laugh tracks. Nowadays you could say those annoying snickering laughing sounds your hear added onto live footage videos online.
November 23, 2025 at 1:01 PM
....I noticed there's a trend in entertainment humor to state out the joke after the fact. Wonder of ramifications. As children entertainment, it can help educate humor patterns I guess and kids love stating what they recognize? Could be a mirror of the health of abstract thinking of the time?

Tyrants: "Gneh heh heh, while you were rejoicing your make believe victory fantasies in stories and videogames, you were giving us the blueprints to our eeeevil uprising Gneh ha HA now cower as we take away access to resources, funds and basic human rights. GNAHAHA"
..hmm. bit 20th Century Boy here.

Maybe we will see a real live mecha-hitler in our lifetime yet, at this rate.

And still no Wolfenstein game in sight.

I think I remember some voices rose that it was mean towards the nazis. like what universe did 2012 send us spiraling into

That's why I need to start a patreon page.
Afford the time to do experimental dumb stuff like animated doodle comics. Or at least feel obligated to make them.

I had a ren and stimpy underground toon vibe in mind but I knew it ended up looking a bit familiar...didn't know what to.

My usual habit is that I see any of those illustration situations as a challenge/puzzle to overcome using my knowledge and skills, and if I'm wasting too much time figuring it out on my own, I find creative shortcuts or else start incorporating some aspects of references for what I struggle with.
November 22, 2025 at 10:58 PM
No reference used so I'm kind of proud and ashamed both at the same time of that animation.
