FWIW, last year DHS briefing officers at the Army Command and Staff College told them that cartels use drones inside Mexico and they INFER that those drones periodically cross the US border but that they don’t have actual substantial data on how many or how often or if/when.

According to multiple NYT sources, it wasn’t even military personnel at Fort Bliss that fired an anti-drone laser at alleged cartel drones. It was CBP who used the weapon on loan from DoD against a child’s party balloon they mistook for a drone. The Pentagon gave CBP an anti-aircraft weapon.

Can Judiciary Dems please hire an experienced litigator to conduct brief tutorials for members on how to question witnesses effectively. I realize this isn’t a courtroom and Bondi is determined just to yell and scream but we aren’t getting much done here either giving speeches.

I’ve watched a lot of congressional hearings over the last 40 years. This performance by Bondi is the single most unprofessional, non-responsive, reprehensible and obnoxious I have ever seen from any witness who has testified before any committee of either chamber.

As the hearing went on Democrats on the committee did a much better job in my opinion after a very slow start as Bondi continued to be an obnoxious ass. There is only one way to handle a witness like this and the latter questioners seemed to understand that.
