The government says it offered consular assistance.

But a contact for the three Newfoundlanders on board told me the support from the government has, largely, been “nothing.”

As the IOF is attempting to intercept all of the vessels from the Global Sumud Flotilla they are trying to walk a line in pretending to do things legally.

I can and I will be angry at all 3. Italy and Spain both lied and said they would help, for PR. They never had any intent to actually do anything to help when it mattered. And when it came time to do something, they were already gone. They made me hope that countries would do something. And stole it

What they did was nothing more than sabotage. They said they would escort them to Gaza. Then when it came to Israel’s made up 150nm red zone they tried to get everyone to abandon the mission. And then they themselves left.

BREAKING: GLOBAL SUMUD FLOTILLA
INTERCEPTED BY ISRAELI NAVAL FORCES
October 1, 2025
On Wednesday, 1 October 2025 at around 8:30 pm Gaza time, multiple vessels of
Global Sumud Flotilla—notibly Alma, Surius, Adara—were illegally intercepted and
boarded by Israeli Occupation Forces in international waters. Prior to illegally
boarding the ships, it appears as though the Israeli naval vessels intentionally
damaged ship communications, in an attempt to block distress signals and stop the
live-stream of their illegal boat boarding. In addition to the boats confirmed to be
intercepted, live-stream coverage and communication has been lost with multiple
other boats. We are diligently working to account for all participants and crew. We will
share updates as soon as we have confirmed information about the status of boats,
detentions, injuries and potential casualties.
This is an illegal attack on unarmed humanitarians in international waters. We call on
governments, world leaders, and international institutions to demand the safety and
release of all on board and continue to monitor this situation closely.
Despite interception of a few vessels, the Global Sumud Flotilla is 70 nautical miles
away from the Gaza coastline and will continue undeterred.

Here's the video Trump just posted to Truth Social, with the claim that 11 people aboard the boat were killed.

There is zero evidence of self-defense here. Looks like a massacre of civilians at sea.

Even if they had drugs aboard, that's not a capital offense.
