I don't want to predict what's going to happen in this film I just started watching, but I think if Willem Defoe knocks on your door and asks to rent your basement, you should probably say no.

Today I got a couple of birdfeeders and some birdseed and I hope the local bird population notices it soon and stops by.

I forgot to get dried mealworms for my roadrunner friend. Next time.

It starts with knowing the truth. Don’t allow yourselves to be gaslit into believing this is a real question.

I talked to Tim Blake Nelson about his new novel, Superhero, for the LA Times. (I have no control over headlines now, remember). www.latimes.com/entertainmen...

This weekend I watched the DVD extras of Rosencrantz & Guildenstern are dead. I don’t know who did the interviews, but it was someone who knew Tom Stoppard, so he was relaxed and candid. I think it was recorded around 2004? Totally great if you can find it.

I just tried to type the word “gray” and autocorrect changed it to “The Grateful Dead” and I can assure you I will never type that phrase willingly, ever.

Buster Kittten and Pomeroy, who is only slightly annoyed.

I watched Fitzcarraldo for the first time last night. Buster Kitten did too. I hope his forming brain took away from it, look at the beauty/futility/necessity/labor/destruction of art, rather than, be like that wild-haired madman.

I've been struggling to demo the ramp leading up to my house and today after I'd finally cut a piece of board free the roadrunner (not pictured) appeared, came right up to me not 2 feet away, then plucked out a snail to eat & stepped aside.
