Had a blast at #IZFC2025 🐟🧪 Was great to get feedback on my work and hear about the cool research everyone is doing. Continuously grateful to have joined such a positive research community! 🎉

Grateful for at least 3 more years of science and truly appreciate of everyone at NIDDK who kept this moving despite the clusterfuck that is our government right now 🎉 stay tuned for more pretty fish images and ideally some insights into polarity and migration 🐟 🧪

Hi Society for Developmental Biology friends! I’m excited to be running for SDB’s board of directors for their PostDoc rep seat - ballots just went live! If elected, I am hoping to focus on scientific outreach and bringing the public back to our side, scientifically. #devbio 🧪

I do not WANT to make my devbio proposal read like a cancer proposal to get funding now that the NIH is trashed. Why don’t we have an American Neonatal Society that funds dev bio the way ACS funds cancer research? Like you can’t tell me we don’t care about improving neonatal health in this country!

In a time where antivax sentiment is causing a rise in preventable illness, my 84 year old grandfather shared this piece of history when I visited this weekend - he spoke about how people lined up in droves in NC to get vaccinated against polio. 1/2

Good news, the F32 I spent months working on got an impact score of 20! Bad news:

Like what is even the point of anything anymore… 🧪 #devbio

PSA for my Cell Polarity friends: unfortunately this GRC has been canceled. Apparently the GRC takes minimum conference attendees incredibly seriously, so make sure you attend if you can afford to, and if you want a fav conference to stick around.

😭😭😭

Happy to share this little resource I made for those venturing into the land of planar cell polarity mouse strains! I hope the supplemental table in particular will be helpful. I detailed commonly-used strains, their JaxID, references, and important phenotypes to be aware of when planning expts 🧬🐭🔬
