#Psychology still has a way to go. Seen few times recently.... I use a similar robust methodology in two papers. One gets "excellent paper...." The other, reject, methods etc not robust.

The glaring difference.....

One has significant effects, the other doesn't.

Its worth remembering that when the broad population realize (if they do) that a country is an authoritarian state, its already too late. Its less about what research they are cancelling or not funding, and more about the bigger picture.

This is what I saw every other day as a child in rural Connemara in Ireland which is an Irish speaking area (where I am from). It is so heartbreaking seeing what is happening. It is so disappointing and upsetting seeing so many of those in any form of power being silent.

As strange as it is to say, I'm convinced that the pandemic was such a globally devastating emergency that it masked how clearly incompetent and ignorant Trump is. He demonstrated plenty of it during his last term, but this is next level stuff.
