I saw the "point blank sandwich" thing, too, but didn't worry about it much because #ADnD already has improvised weapon rules tucked away in Unearthed Arcana.
1d2 damage, 30 feet range, and "point blank" is meaningless unless some dope decides to specialize in sandwiches.

Manufacturers keep telling on themselves when they call their most readable dice sets "retro." Too many #dice these days are more tiny art objects than useful gaming tools.
Chessex do a retro colour die pack, extra handy if your eyesight isn't the best. #dnd
