🔴We have failed Afghans when we owe them so much. We should be outraged. We should be absolutely incensed.

My thoughts on yet another government betrayal, a source of national shame. 👇

Afghanistan: our national shame
In every newspaper, on every broadcast bulletin, today’s revelations about the Afghan data breach have been met with a stunned, sanguine silence.

We're saying farewell to two incredible team members. Samya is stepping back after 3 years, thankfully it's not a permanent goodbye. Gaby is off to a new frontline role. 🧡
Now, we're looking for driven individuals to join ASSIST and make a difference for people seeking asylum in Sheffield. ⏬

"We now have a 50% tariff on Brazil, because it puts in jail its insurrectionists. And so that means for those of us who drink Brazilian coffee: Your next coffee comes with an insurrection infusion fee, as we try to support those who put the coup in coup-pucino."

I'm looking over the Channel policy timeline on our website. It so devastatingly shows the toxic relationship between borders and irregular migration, leading to human rights violations, racism and deep deep harm to people who are seeking asylum. channelcrossings.org/home-2/timel...

I am looking for UK immigration law practitioners to fill in a short survey about their engagement with legal academic work. There is also an option to take part in an interview at the end. Please do consider taking part and share with your networks:

🚨We have published a NEW REPORT sharing the experiences of children from our All4One youth group who were wrongly treated as adults by the Home Office.

These children arrived in the UK alone seeking asylum, were declared “significantly over 18” at the border and sent alone to adult asylum hotels.

Migrant rights activist @zoejardiniere.bsky.social giving Labour and the Tories both barrels on their failure - and cruelty - around migrants in the UK.

We need politicians who don't punch down to distract from their own failures. We need a change.
