Welcome new followers! When I’m not pitching tv shows, producing audio fiction (The Black Tapes; The Big Loop; Marvels; and 2 coming in 2025) or writing books (You Suck, Sir), I’m at home with my wife and dog cooking unhealthy but satisfying meals and drinking too much wine and bourbon.
I don’t remember why I bought these but I’m so glad I did. Staggeringly beautiful prose.

This thread. Also: at my (upper/mid) level, all I'm hearing is "make your own thing." I've been doing that for 20 years. It's been a nice way to supplement my scattered income from selling scripts. But to make something, you need to pay the people helping you (at a certain point). So, who funds it?
Said with love but there is a tone deafness in the "just write your spec!" advice that seems to be totally ignored in the current climate.
It works if you're repped. If reps are taking new clients. If places are buying A LOT. If rooms are staffing unknowns/lower levels. If not? It's a platitude.

Any AI cover is an automatic blacklist for me. I already know what you're about, and as a writer, audio creator and visual artist I know you'll screw me over. That's a big neon sign saying you're untrustworthy.
Doing some research for a possible new project, and it hurts to see just how many podcast squares/covers out there are so clearly AI generated.
