A recent hike to Looking Glass Rock in Pisgah National Forest. Varying leaf colors indicate different stages of change; for one tree, most of its bright red leaves have already fallen.

Friends, as soon as I arrived in Long Beach (WA, of course!), I went straight to my favorite lighthouse. Even though it was an overcast day, it was clear enough to see the mountains in the distance. Not sure I’ve ever seen them before!! (Cape Disappointment Lighthouse)

After the lighthouse, I went for a walk in the beach and holy cow, it ended up being so nice! I forgot my sun glasses and I paid for it! It was windy though (it’s always windy here!) and there were some awesome giant kites out there! 🦈

Wow, what a great day it’s been! It ended up being incredibly nice so I walked the beach for sunset until it was dark. The tide was going out, leaving essentially a mirror on the sand and an amazing evening.
