3p/mile for Electric, 1.5p/mile for hybrids

Insane way to penalise rural dwellers who, almost certainly have no reliable alternative public transport option

These are the very people we need to encourage to switch (town & city folk can take the bloody train) #wato #politicslive

All true & well #wato to point out that the overall tax burden has gone up since the pandemic

But that only confirms that not only are we going to be paying for the pandemic for decades,

but how the Tories were running a funding (tax) shortfall despite austerity: Bloody shameful!

& The coveted #R4today 8:10 interview slot goes to ….. BBC journos Chris Mason & Faisal Islam

I’m no expert (obviously) but if it was my government I’d want a senior spokesperson on to set the tone for the day

Hard to get my head around just how poor this Labour lot are at communication

Women wanting their posts to be shared more by men adopt male posturing & language?

Not sure how surprised we should be to this revelation #r4Today #brocoding

This is another thing I had to cut from my piece - the minimum wage is best understood as an anti-poverty measure *for single or childless couples at the start of their working lives*. But it's not a lever that helps most people struggling to make ends meet. Only cash transfers do that.
Why the two-child limit has to go, in a chart.

Someone really needs to explain the Striesand Effect to the BBC. And also tell them to stop being so pathetic.
I wish I didn’t have to share this. But the BBC has decided to censor my first Reith Lecture.

They deleted the line in which I describe Donald Trump as “the most openly corrupt president in American history.” /1

Yep, BBC bias select comm exchanges, at least the bits I could keep awake to, didn’t get crucial answer to ‘how come you lot only see Left wing bias?’

If we’re leaving it up to the Telegraph to pass judgement on the saga then the progressive Liberal Left has clearly lost all relevance #r4today
