Baikal Teal Abbotsbury Swannery this am in western embayment from Helen Hide. Doubtfully viewable from rights of way other than grounds. There is no right of way SE of tank traps on beach. If you walk beyond fence there everything will flush! @joestockwell.bsky.social @dorsetbirdclub.bsky.social

I think the problem is exacerbated on St Mary's bigger area fewer birders and many birders reluctant to stray far in case they miss the big one, phones/ social media mainly to blame Alex on smaller islands like At Agnes many birders go out birding dawn to dusk and are not far from any find.

The problem on At Agnes that large parts of a small island are not visible or accessible from public rights of way as the central area is still farmed birders on the island don't miss much
