NEW: State election officials are condemning Attorney General Pam Bondi for blackmailing Minnesota by suggesting the administration would withdraw ICE if the state hands over its unredacted voter data.

An expert said the proposal is “laying the groundwork to try to interfere with the election.”

I’ve never been a fan of boycotts or economic blackouts. They often hurt workers before they hurt corporations.

But in today’s political climate, I’m rethinking what silence means, and whether even imperfect civic action has value.
