The wine which I’ve been vey much enjoying is complementary from the b&b I’m in. I’ve only just looked at the label. 2014 ! Languedoc .would have guessed the latter but not the former. Lovely, simple, unheavy, I love wines like this. Their honesty is the romance of wine.

I’m wide awake. Not ideal. My sleep is all discombobulated from my all night drive. Even watching low quality tv in a language I can’t understand isn’t helping.

Such a British icon of the uk’s history … boomers on Twitter think they fought in WW2 but let’s always remember those remarkable folk who actually did overwhelmingly voted for human rights, a welfare state and the nhs. Pretending to be Solemn doesn’t do them justice .. being kind does.

Off to Orval ( an invite) very early in the morning. Very excited. One of my dessert Island beers. Not sure why they have to be based in the middle of nowhere. rural Mali would be easier. The duck is Orville to save confusion.

My new mop has been great but I’ve come across a design weakness / Achilles heel. Little piece of plastic that holds it in place has snapped. It’s the IMS bearing in a M96/ M97 of the mopping world.
