Very true and for medical purposes as well. I just hope we do not pursue them at any cost as we have fossil fuels. For me, environmental security is fundamental to national security.

Neodymium needs to become a household word. Neodymium is needed to make the rare earth magnets needed for drones. War in Ukraine has super-propelled drone production. Extraction of neodymium is environmentally destructive, including radioactive spills at Mountain Pass, CA in recent past.🤷

Trump is furious w China for restricting export of rare earth minerals & magnets. Has his eye on going back in to Afghanistan because of their store of rare earth. Neodymium needed for magnets in drones. It is possible, we will go to war to get the resources to keep producing the weapons of war.🤷

The Nobel Peace Prize, in my opinion, should only ever be given posthumously.

Given that so many people who champion peace or even achieve temporary peace can also champion war in other circumstances, it should be based on a totality of work.
