Finally made it to Island of the Dolls, and it lived up to the legend. Creepy, surreal, tragic, and strangely beautiful, like a folk-horror movie floating in the canals. Mexico City continues to be a dream destination for anyone who loves the macabre, the mythic, and religious gore.
