I renovated the Lincoln Bathroom in the White House. It was renovated in the 1940s in an art deco green tile style, which was totally inappropriate for the Lincoln Era. I did it in black and white polished Statuary marble. This was very appropriate for the time of Abraham Lincoln and, in fact, could be the marble that was originally there!

When you lose your job after 20 years we can bet you won’t get good healthcare options.

Right now the House members are making $14,500 a day since they only put in 12 days of work this year. I have no empathy for their “plight”.

And when they are no longer in Congress, they should no longer have taxpayer-funded healthcare.
If we lose our jobs we lose our healthcare, they should too.
Maybe that can help them understand (but I doubt it).

Up until my current freelance contract included insurance, I paid my own for 20+ years.
It went up huge $ every year. Deductibles of $16,000 or more & I was still paying $1000+ a month.
I cannot forget that, but you’re right, a lot of people do, (or never had to pay their own)
