Sal was an inspiration.
Being in the UK, we didn't have much access to American Super Hero comics. When they were reprinted they were usually without colour. Sometimes you'd find an issue in a newsagents, but I remember seeing Sal Buscema's work and wanting to draw like that.

Sal Buscema, a comic artist best known for legendary runs on Marvel's Incredible Hulk and Spectacular Spider-Man, reportedly passed away last Friday, just short of his 90th birthday.

I don't usually announce new portraits so early, in fact, I haven't even started anything yet, just printed off the photos.

It's so imperfect a dance it trancends to perfect and knowing the entire film wouldn't even be greenlit today makes it even more enjoyable.

I would argue that the world needs to get back to this kind of silly fun.
It's so imperfect a dance it trancends to perfect and knowing the entire film wouldn't even be greenlit today makes it even more enjoyable.

I knew there was a good reason I drew #DrStrangelove last year.
"No fighting in the war room."
This took me 11 days to draw by hand in pencil.

Over the past four days on BBC2 (UK) there's been Titanic Sinks Tonight. A not great title but a documentary that goes into greater depth than the film.
Along with the crew there were 3 passenger classes, 1st class had first pickings of lifeboats and no matter how rich no one could buy a safe escape
