Agreed, the headline & photoshop are heavy-handed and as the article said they did it intentionally "as a warning and a wake-up call."

I think it's good that it's stirred up awareness among the fanbase that, unfortunately, the arena card is gonna be played as part of the team sale. And that sucks.

I'm (a little) afraid the answer to this question lives in a spreadsheet on a laptop somewhere & is as simple as the people involved in making these decisions believe they'll ultimately make more money by building new. And if not building new, then renovating. And if not renovating, then relocating.

I agree with this sentiment and it's also what makes me nervous about the situation. The conditions are (potentially!) ripe for the team to be stolen by a highest bidder who dgaf anything but that bottom line. Not ideal
