We launched our first free content update for Space Warlord Baby Trading Simulator yesterday with THREE new campaigns.

So, let's meet our new friends...
A screenshot from the campaign selection screen which shows a happy looking alien named Nuria Voll. Text reads... She's missed out on the "next big thing" too many times. Nuria is going ALL-IN. This is another alien who you can make money with, they are named B'ho Maximum. Text reads... With a choice between paying for rent or groceries, B'ho invests their last cresits into the market and hopes for the best. This is the third and final campaign for another alien, called Fulds. Text reads... Six days. That's how much time Fulds has before correctional cyborgs drag him back to the prison that will be his grave. This is an image that details the the post launch roadmap for the game. The text reads... Space Warlord Baby Trading Simulator Post Launch Roadmap February 5 (which has "out now" over the top of it): Two (which has "three" over the top of it" new campaigns February 12: A new game mode with a number of challenging scenarios February 19: Two new campaigns, more scenarios, and the addition of a daily challenge mode. With more to come over two months of free updates. The image features the top of the head of an alien baby at the bottom, that is being climbed on by multiple besuited aliens who are scrabbling over a suitcase full of money. This case is being held alot by one alien while other fall and more grab at the one holding the cash. It also features to logos for Strange Scaffold and Frosty Pop.

I've been toying with combat menu layouts the last couple of days to make the deck system less confusing.

Which do you like?

If you could explain why you like the one you do, that'd be helpful, though not a requirement by any means 🙇‍♂️

TOP-LEFT (A): all combat action selection is in a horizontal row at the bottom of the screen with another horizontal row sitting on top of it that displays information for the highlighted action. The combat actions are all separated by a vertical line and have a line of text above their rows: the first section (the deck) has the current number of cards left in the deck, the next says "HAND", the next "BASIC", and the last says "LIMIT". TOP-RIGHT (B): the horizontal row that displays information for the highlighted action is on the bottom of the screen with the horizontal row of combat actions sitting on top of it. All information in both rows is displayed the same as option A, the two rows are just reversed. BOTTOM-LEFT (C): is just like option B, but the combat actions are now hidden with new menu options that read HAND, BASIC, and LIMIT. Selecting these options would reveal the actions that fall under that option. BOTTOM-RIGHT (D): makes the most out of the space, but the combat actions and highlited action info are now in two columns with the combat actions on the left side and the info for the highlighted action on the right. The combat actions are now split into their own sections between two rows with text above each section. The top row has the view deck button with the word "DECK" above it and the hand section with the word "HAND" above it. The bottom row has basic actions with the word "BASIC" above it followed by the limit section that has the word "LIMIT" above it.

And one other thing: we’re being told that AI is the only way to make games cheaper and faster, to pull us from this precipice of production nightmares the industry has found itself in. That it’s necessary.

We put out roughly 3 motherfucking games a year, not touching the stuff.

I'm making #StarSpark, a #roguelite turn-based fighting game.

In each tournament round two fighters are sent to a planet to survive while making their way towards the only exit, which only activates when one of them has been KO'd.
