To all MPs and esp those in govt- this bill in its current form has huge flaws- it needs fixing so it will actually protect our environment - please act to ensure it does.

That reluctance by Davey may not win him the votes he should be looking for.
Imho we should be actively looking to #RejoinEU asap
Agree? - sign the petition, let MPs know this issue isn’t one they can just wish away

A small step in the right direction by a govt that is rather too hesitant and not nearly ambitious enough. We should be at the heart of Europe helping shape our own future, not scrabbling around looking for deals.
Agree?
Think of signing the following:

petition.parliament.uk/petitions/72...
Petition: Apply for the UK to rejoin the EU fully - do not just 'reset' the relationship
I think the UK needs to rejoin the EU fully for maximum economic benefit and to restore influence rather than merely 'reset' relations.

Just a reminder that many would much rather the ‘renegotiations’ went much further- if you agree, please sign and share -if only to remind Labour’s leadership that the issue hasn’t really gone away. An increasing % of the UK never voted to leave. petition.parliament.uk/petitions/72...

Time to show the dithering Starmer govt that we will not let the matter of the UKs future EU membership drop. #RejoinEU #Brexitshambles

Why should you vote for them? Well, it’s Interesting to see that ReformUK once again haven’t bothered to respond. Is it arrogance, indifference or just a lack of reasons- Who knows!
If they can’t be bothered to tell you, why bother lending them your vote? At least ALL the others care enough to say.

Despite a number of decent contributions from Labour backbenchers (and plenty of others), a very depressing closing statement from the minister, (and the shadow) which I feel will ultimately lose Labour far more votes that it can afford to.
Both need to wake up to the prevailing mood across the UK

Things we could do to improve public finances- and not hit the poorest, most vulnerable in society by resorting to Austerity2 #pip #taxation #loopholes #taxavoidance
Will UK Govt tackle corporate tax abuses?

Public Country-by-Country-Report shows companies shifting profits to places with little/no employees, physical presence.

In 2015 UK govt legislated, but didn't implement. In 2023, law repealed.

EU, Australia requires info.

Why won't UK chase tax abusers?
UK governments are failing to curb corporate tax abuses and leaving people to pay the price
Governments remain obsessed with austerity and choose not to inconvenience the rich or curb tax abuses by corporations.

Too many algorithms seem to push the alternative narrative of those either funded or tied to the polluting fossil fuel giants. Good to see this from the CBI www.edie.net/stalling-net...

I am pleased to see Rupert Lowe has installed solar panels on his farm.

It’s a shame Reform Party does not want ordinary people to benefit from cheap, clean, renewable energy.

Overfull prisons? There are those who have been locked up on very spurious grounds for lengthy periods. Keeping peaceful protestors locked up is surely an utter waste of taxpayers money and a democratic travesty?www.instagram.com/reel/DFSGIfb...

Perhaps time for Labour to display a few more of the progressive credentials they like to claim. Strikes me that at the moment they are (sadly) amongst the least progressive of the progressives
#ProportionalRepresentation would help, as would dropping insane damaging redlines when it comes to #EU

I’d suggest 2/3 of the British public are absolutely right!
It’s time to overhaul the system, time to put a strict enforceable limit on donations to political parties, and time to hold media moguls criminally responsible for lawbreaking designed to help sell their publications. #Leveson2

For those on/still on FB it gives an insight into what Brexit may actually have been about- and why certain elites pushed so hard for it.

“To the financial institutions & industries backtracking on climate commitments, I want to say loudly & clearly:

You’re on the wrong side of history.

You’re on the wrong side of science.

And you’re on the wrong side of consumers who are looking for more sustainability, not less.”
