I hate those maps with the center of US all red and labeled America while coasts are blue and have become part of Canada. I'm not Canadian. I'm an American and I know there are plenty of people living in red states who don't want live in a fascist America. It's up to all of us...

I find people like that frightening too, and avoid them. Or I just avoid topics I know will inflame them. I remember when it was possible to have friendly conversations with just about anybody. That's been over with for at least a decade. It's unfortunate because isolation makes everything worse.

I've noticed there are plenty of conservatives and right-leaning liberals inside Seattle. I depends on the neighborhood. Once you venture outside the city it's a crap shoot. Viz Ferguson, I think he's mistaken pandering to conservatives. They're perpetually aggrieved regardless of his policies.

I think Inslee did an excellent job during COVID. His policies were exactly what was required. I know there people who were unhappy with mask and vaccination requirements. Boo hoo for them. Overall, unfortunately, I thought he too frequently acted in his own interests rather than the state's.

Inslee is another politician motivated almost exclusively by self interest.

I've got no quarrel with anyone who voted for Ferguson over that tin horn, four flusher Reichert. It was the only sane choice. My gripe is that voters get stuck with poor candidates such as Inslee, Ferguson and Reichert.

Sorry I was obtuse. I think Washington state voters got sold a bill of goods with Ferguson. Ditto the Democratic controlled state legislature. I think they represent the interests of their wealthiest donors rather than their constituents.

After observing Collins' behavior for umpteen years, my conclusion is she's motivated almost exclusively by the rapacious pursuit of her personal interests - whatever those may be when the roll is called. Her votes are too morally and intellectually inconsistent for any other explanation.
