Resistance to the Trump regime needs to ramp up in frequency, intensity, and impact or we all lose. We are seeing mass capitulation on the part of corporations and other institutions nationwide because they haven't seen resistance as a viable threat to the consolidating right-wing dictatorship. 🧵

People who think "actual thinking" means “insipid contrarianism that substitutes banal edgelordery for any meaning or principle" almost only go right.
Never socialists or super-woke or whatever, always variations on "this bigot is making arguments and you're close-minded if you're not open to them."
I can’t help but notice that a bunch of people think “actual thinking” means “insipid contrarianism that substitutes banal edgelordery for any meaning or principle.”

it’s been pretty funny to see Polis’ addiction to posting completely end any discussion of him as a potential 2028 candidate

Say “pro-life” one more time….
There's a subset of GOPer that seems to have entered politics almost entirely for the potential to be adjacent to killing people and well imo that sort of person probably shouldn't be in office
WELKER: Is there any hard evidence showing this particular boat was headed to the US?

TOM COTTON: That didn't come up in my briefing

WELKER: Are you comfortable having the US target a boat that you're not sure is heading to the US?

COTTON: I'm not just comfortable with it -- I want to continue it

I reiterate that resistance efforts need to combine efforts, be strategic, and step up the pressure. The billionaire class is betting against us - we need boycotts, pressure campaigns, and strikes that hit their bottom lines at a scale sufficient to change their incentives.

We can't say we didn't know. Only that we failed to act with sufficient urgency.

Hopefully that won't have to be democracy's epitaph.
boy is it weird that no one in the fucking media was asking JD Vance about him sounding like a supervillain in 2022

they were too fucking busy rolling oranges to him

You know who else was indicted out of the Southern District of New York following an investigation that was primarily conducted during the first Trump administration (and then convicted by a federal jury and sentenced to 45 years in prison)?

We, the American public, are getting fleeced. Real good.

Important read from a never-Trump conservative perspective. The Regime is engaged in criminal activity, including war crimes. This is fairly simple and doesn't require a J.D. to understand.

I'm really glad to see someone like Kelly finally saying this. bsky.app/profile/atru...
Mark Kelly: "This president, when he says things like 'third world countries,' what is he really saying? I think what he's saying is he doesn't want brown people in our country. And that's disturbing. It's un-American."

A reminder for those who are not aware: "remigration" is the process of deporting all non-white people from a country. It includes citizens and is, by definition, ethnic cleansing.

And to be clear: this is not fake. I just screenshot it myself.

Why give in now, Northwestern?
Marjorie Taylor Greene of all people recognized that Trump isn't the future, but Northwestern's leaders apparently think it's the time to get on board.
Either they think this is forever, or they have no principles and concluded there's no downside to collaborating now.
