It is an addiction hence the use of the term Brexorcism. Of course it goes wider than this ... COVID denial, Trump, Musk etc.

So much talk of economics and far right radicalisation but my increasingly view is we are all - myself included - underestimating the impact of both internet culture and (more importantly) the economics of the internet/social media on politics and radicalisation

Last night I heard of another friend of a friend who has been lost to a rabbit hole of online propaganda. We need to start treating this as a serious public health concern.

Tonight’s #BBCNews story about new biometric information demanded of Brits traveling to the EU, due entirely to #Brexit, did not mention Brexit. Bad journalism or BBC policy ??

Simon Calder's reporting on the travel impact of Brexit has been good, but the strangely-worded final line of this ("under the Brexit deal, Boris Johnson’s government negotiated for UK passport holders to become third-country nationals") suggests that, even now, Brexit isn't really understood.

Opinion | Starmer has not prioritised growth, not really. He has done what British governments have been doing for over a decade: prioritising anti-immigration policy and focusing on growth only where it does not interfere with it

“The second anyone suggests that a man whose entire political career has been devoted to attacking migrants and making discriminatory comments about non-white people, might be a racist, all hell breaks loose”

Enough. Farage is a racist menace. We must say so.

Nigel Farage Is a Racist

The media is refusing to state the most bleedingly obvious facts about a man whose entire career has been devoted to pursuing a racist political agenda

Nigel Farage is a racist. That is my honestly held opinion based on absolutely everything he has said and done since entering politics in the late nineties.

We flounced out of the EU on the say-so of politicians who lied to us. And what a total shitshow that’s turned out to be. The polar opposite of what they promised. Now the call to flounce out of the ECHR. By the same people. Telling the same lies. Has the country been kicked in the head by a horse?

Polls are not leadership though.

I expect my leaders to act on what the county needs as well as what it wants.

We need a national conversation about a better Britain. I began in Somerset, but it needs to spread. Can you help?

The next election will be about immigration, which is about Brexit - Brexit is the main reason we can't tackle the small boats.

Because of something so damaging, every election will be about the consequences of Brexit but no one wants to tackle it.

The obvious answer is to rejoin the EU.
