So, this means that if your allies negotiate with Russia without you, they may be doing so in their own interests, and not yours. Totally unacceptable that Ukraine is being left out of these negotiations concerning its future.

After all, the mafia has already taken part of your backyard, so you need to negotiate with him, and make concessions to him.

Again, back to the mafia boss, and I quote Al Capone: "If your friends ask you to negotiate with your enemy, then the traitors have already made a deal behind your back!"

On the other hand, the neighbours who could put an end to this violence, surprisingly start negotiating with your aggressor without your participation. And then tell you that it’s all your own fault.

You (Ukraine) have the right to decide for yourself who you want to be friends with, where you want to go to school, and how you want to live. No one else can dictate terms to you, especially if that someone is trying to control you by force.

At the same time, intimidating your neighbours not to interfere. This is absolutely crazy and unfair, and it does not justify Russia’s actions.

Can any of this be fair? Certainly not.

So, philosophy of the real life mafia boss, Al Capone said: "You can achieve much more with a kind word and a gun than with a kind word alone."

Russia talks about "good intentions" ("protecting Russian speakers"), but holds a "gun" in the form of troops that are slowly occupying your backyard.

However, your neighbour says: "No, you can't join, because I want to." He goes on - threatens you and tries to take away a part of your backyard (Crimea, Donbas), claiming that it is "his land."

So, one day, you decide perhaps it’s better to stay away from him and join the local neighbourhood clubs (#NATO and #EU), where everyone respects each other, helps each other when needed and follows common set of rules - agreed by all members of the respective clubs.
