And seeing as I'm in a "heavy albums from way back when that don't get enough love" sort of mood...

Love the interactions between Gordon Kaye and Guy Siner. The comic pause and expressions in the exchange above are so well performed.
"I was pissing by the door, when I heard two shats. You are holding in your hand a smoking goon; you are clearly the guilty potty."
We binged it start to finish recently, and it's still great. Simultaneously gentle and silly, yet very cleverly stitched together by René's ongoing fourth wall breaking. Was watching a documentary about it recently with (I think) Guy Siner talking about just how hard they rehearsed, and it shows.
Trading Standards need a better proofreader. Also, if you want a tan, maybe just...get over yourself.
Nice moment at gig tonight. Gig was modern melodic metalcore. Not my immediate go to, but bands were very good, energy was good and very enjoyable. Walked into front bar after gig ended just as DJ sequed from "I am the Law" into "Peace Sells". Felt both amusing and poignant. 40 years of my life!
Come on brain, I've had a busy working week with a stack of commuting delays, so could really do with something nice to do. There's a very heavy local gig tonight, the front bar at the venue has an extreme metal DJ for 4 hours, yet I'm still struggling to get motivated to go. The hell?!
In office three days this week, and all kinds of train delays every day. Northern Line has been utterly broken for last few days, and tonight's 51 minute journey home from Euston crawled to Leighton Buzzard, sat there for 30 minutes, eventually end up 76 minutes late. Fun.
Quick search suggests yours for $250m. Also that it's a bio-diesel capable diesel-electric hybrid with battery bank and can run electric only for 48 hours. Owned by Canadian venture capital billionaire. Also apparently pet friendly, so that's nice.
As seen from office window this afternoon. I almost admire the low key "I've also got a helicopter" boast. Either that or Chris Barrie is doing exceptionally well for himself.
Probably needs "Undignified in-fighting" between the last two steps there.
Splendid taste. Ditto Jay Foreman's Unfinished London series. Throw in some John Elledge, Geoff Marshall and Tim Traveller for all your urbanism and transport geekery needs!
It's also interesting to see how UK right wing media is increasingly pandering to US views to chase subscription revenue over there, which in turn drives narrative back over here. Also why they push the wider "politicians are all the same" message to undermine confidence and lower turnout on left.
Yep. It's also the reason Trump hates places like Portland so much.
Suspect at least some of is because they can't accept or embrace their own desires or kinks, so resent people they see as enjoying what they can't. Lashing out at an out group is a quick dopamine hit and avoidance of the deeper introspection needed to properly understand themselves.
No, PowerPoint, I don't want to "turn off design suggestions until you restart PowerPoint", I want you to leave me the fuck alone unless I specifically ask you. Only on planet AI could "ok, we'll harass you marginally less" be deemed an acceptable user option. Less Co-Pilot, more Stalker.

I can heartily recommend Dovetail in Jerusalem Passage, Clerkenwell. Fully Belgian affair, so ABVs get well into adventurous territory, but then you're not exactly going to be rushing that sort of beverage anyway, so very relaxed vibe to the place.
