It's kind of pleasing his influence is now so diminished that he has to resort to hyperbolic dross like that to let people know he still exists.

Network effect arguent doesn't hold either, as you need an account to view stuff on there, which you don't on Bluesky. It's a walled garden full of Nazis and child porn as a deliberate choice and should be utterly toxic to any sane company or politician.

It's also clearly a choice to allow Grok to do that, as it's restricted on other models. Anyone monetized via X engagement (Farage...) is therefore complicit in distribution of CSAM. It baffles me why any company or org in the UK remains on there.

Even Portland is cracking on for 9 times. It's almost as if having guns everywhere means small arguments are far more likely to escalate to fatal confrontation, but that's clearly the sort of thing that someone who hates freedom would say. It's the whole "freedom to" versus "freedom from" issue.

Whilst espousing misogynist viewpoints that drive violence against women and girls, whilst claiming anyone who criticises them is a woke cuck or somesuch. It's all projection with these people.

It's also amusing that many of the same folks propogating the "London has fallen" narrative are the ones who insist it's under Sharia law and/or an Orwellian police state. Consistency it not their strong point.

Yep, even if people say "ah, well, a lot isn't reported", actual NHS stats for treatment of knife wounds is down considerably, so unless there's a subset of people treating themselves...

Meanwhile:-

Would be really nice to be in nappies full time, but past experience suggests it's something that needs to be arrived at rather than immediately switched to, otherwise just too mentally pressuring. Pullups are useful in that regard, as they add an option between the two poles.

Not right now, but Somerset does seem to spend an inordinate amount of time under water.

Also, don't ever be helpful on a subject that isn't under your ownership, even if you know the answer. You just become default helpdesk / scapegoat thereafter, and it somehow becomes your fault that people don't have the knowledge they ought to. "Oh, can you do a training session?". No. Not my job.

...which they probably can't get out of depot anyway, due to the flooding.

Can someone please show the pre-1066 one to the current crop of flag shagging racists waving crosses in the air and twatting on about "Christian values". It's more "our heritage" than anything post-Norman conquest, and that's what they claim to care so deeply about...

It's noticeable that the pubs and cafes on the square are starting to have more permanent outdoor seating, and life is slowly creeping back into what was a dead space that had all the charm of a prison exercise yard. Local BID team doing good stuff with events in the square as well. Mixed use!

Our market square redevelopment (also beloved of local Facebook...) did a thing where there are some permanent stalls set at the diagonal as you enter from the high street. Draws your eye into and through the space and connects it back into the overall streetscape. Also more seating and art.
