so crazy to me that a woman asked trump if he has any words for epstein's victims and he said "you as a young woman should smile more." it will go nowhere bc republicans refuse to hold trump accountable, but it's still pretty crazy.

This is unreal. An AUSA talking like that in open court is about as close as you can come to a total breakdown. Never heard of anything like it.

"Rhode Island receives a cut of every sports bet lost at the state’s two casinos and through its Sportsbook RI app.

Legalizing sports betting — once largely controlled by organized crime in Providence — has proven lucrative for the state, generating $37.8 million in revenue in fiscal 2025."
NEW: As Patriots fans dream of another Super Bowl title, Rhode Island budget officials are bracing for the financial fallout a win could bring.

The only month the state’s sportsbook has ever reported a loss was February 2019 -- the last time the Pats won www.wpri.com/target-12/go...

My book is approaching its two-year birthday in April. And, today, I got a nice note from a reader.

That was nice.

As the U.S. becomes ever-more self-destructive and unserious, this trend will only accelerate.

I'm also so tickled by the fact that, I'm guessing, the Forward asked at some point, "Hey, Paul. Got any pics that we could use to illustrate you being the one Jewish guy in Greenland?"

And he came through with this absolute bullseye of him sitting on a bench, alone, in front of a frozen landscape.

I am so delighted by the fact that Greenland's one Jewish guy has the American-Jewish-Guy-Name-Generator name of Paul Cohen.

I will likely be talking about @forward.com's article on Greenland's Only Jew -- Paul Cohen -- for years to come.
Greenland’s only Jew hears a familiar pattern in Trump’s annexation talk
Paul Cohen, Greenland’s only Jew, explains how Jewish history shapes his response to Trump’s renewed talk of annexing the island.

My regular dinners w my parents (who live about a mile from me in Providence, in the house where I grew up) often include me sharing things I've come across online. Last night's texts during dinner:

1. Bruce's Minneapolis protest song.
2. The Forward article about the one Jewish guy in Greenland.

One of my bedrock beliefs is that CNN should never live down the shame of making Corey Lewandowski -- one of the slimiest representatives of Trumpism (which is saying something) -- a paid on-air contributor.

That's *former paid CNN on-air commentator* Corey Lewandowski.
Corey Lewandowski: "I was really gonna go to the Super Bowl, but then Bad Bunny showed up. Listen -- anybody who is an American has nothing to worry about. It's the rapists and the murderers and the sex traffickers and child pedophiles who are in this country who need to be worried."
