Canvassing right up to the Cornwall boarder today
Not a bad day! Now let’s see if we can part of another successful day next week at the Milton and Tamarside by-election
Another lovely day canvassing this time with top county councillor Cheryl Cottle-Hunkin in tiny hamlets and farms which surround Holsworthy. Lots of positive support but it will be close between Reform and us.
Membership and indeed supporters (joined but don’t pay a fee so don’t get full participation rights ie voting standing for committees etc ) are less important than activists. And we are doing way better in numbers in by-elections across the country compared to any other part.
Absolutely not! ……..although we may fall out when we decide which form of PR we want!
Well here we are again Lib Dem’s equal to the Tories, but now the electoral system works against the Tories and for the Lib Dem’s . So Tories are in real danger of becoming a party of less then 30 MP’s whilst Lib Dem’s heading for 100 plus I await the calls from the Tories for PR
Westminster Voting Intention:

RFM: 27% (-2)
LAB: 20% (-2)
CON: 17% (+1)
LDM: 17% (+2)
GRN: 12% (+1)
SNP: 4% (+1)

I amazed people think taking away such an important level of citizen protection from any government action is a good thing, Churchill put it in place to stop other countries going down the same route as Germany did in the WW2. I bet he never imagined it our own country would consider leaving this.
I see the Tories are playing “anything you can do I can do”…… worse

In my maiden speech to parliament I warned Tory leadership hopefuls against leaving the ECHR. Kemi Badenoch has now surrendered policy making to Farage - just how far can the Tories fall?
It’s just an opinion poll, but hey #bbc does this mean you will be doing political pieces with Lib Dem’s just as much as labour and not bothering with the Tories at all? ….. yeah thought not

LAB: 17% (+1)
LDM: 16% (+3)
CON: 14% (-2)

I've written to Keir Starmer, Kemi Badenoch and Nigel Farage, urging them to join me in condemning Elon Musk's dangerous remarks inciting violence yesterday.

As leaders, we must stand together and make clear Musk will face serious consequences for these actions.
And why aren’t the other political leaders doing this, isn’t this a time for us to unite to stop a rich foreign national inciting violence in our country or does his money matter more to you?

Over the past year, the Government has done nothing but neglect farmers - with the cruel family farm tax, cutting the farming budget and selling out British farmers by accepting lower-standard US beef.

Liberal Democrats back British farmers who deserve so much better.

Parents of disabled children face endless hoops just to care for their loved ones.

At PMQ's, @EdDavey.LibDems.org.uk called to overhaul the system, the PM agreed.
Will be voting for this Sir Geoffrey Cox ?
⏰ Disabilities don’t start at 9:30am - so neither should disabled bus passes.

🗳️ Tonight, I’m leading the charge in Parliament, pushing for a vote to scrap these unfair time restrictions that create a postcode lottery.

🚌 Ask your MP to vote for New Clause 2 [NC2].

Seems every time Farage passes wind, he is reported in the news as fact. Even stories which have nothing to do with him he is still asked for a comment. Yet when he is asked to explain his tax affairs or how any of his fantasy policies. He looks indignant and blames the interviewer for daring to ask
The BBC must balance their political news so it doesn’t boost Nigel Farage’s dangerous, divisive politics.
