Dear Canada: tomorrow is Election Day. This is Mark Carney. Hint, hint.
April 27, 2025 at 1:29 PM
Let's remember that the day Mark Carney threw his hat into the leadership race, his party stood at 20% in the polls.

Few men join a losing battle.

When this election campaign began, we all knew that he had an impressive CV, but few of us knew that he's also hilariously witty, warm and humane.

FLASHBACK: Downplaying the harms of glyphosate for Bayer/Monsanto, Patrick Moore claimed it was harmless — then got angry and left the interview when offered a glass of it to drink.

(Someone should offer @rustygrills & @SenJohnStevens a glass when they bring their bill back)

Canadian news shows how Trump’s trade war is costing Nashville/Tennessee small businesses billions.

Danielle Smith doesn’t want to lead Alberta — she wants to fracture Canada. And if she can prop up Poilievre while doing it, she’ll gladly hand over the keys to our economy, our sovereignty, and our values to American hardliners who don’t give a damn about Canadian lives.

Something you don’t hear when Trump talks about bringing manufacturing jobs back to the USA: the average Korean factory worker earns $18,000.

Either Americans “win” millions of poor paying jobs… or we all start paying $3,000 for things like iPhones.

Tariffs make zero sense.

President Trump’s tariffs are rupturing the global economy, and seniors are rightfully worried about their savings.

My government will protect your retirement by reducing the minimum RRIF withdrawal amount by 25% and increasing the GIS by 5%, tax-free — for a year.

Night is not the end of the day, but an invitation to go into ourselves. Sometimes we seek the silence of darkness to organize our thoughts and let go of the day. In the night, we find the opportunity to free ourselves from the burdens of life and draw new strength.
