He picked up two fouls early in the game and couldn't avoid foul trouble the rest of the way.
Both of the #Spurs' games against the #Magic should have been schedule losses (they went Memphis-to-Orlando back-to-back in December).
Credit to them and the culture they have built that they found a way to win both. That's why they are sitting in second (and why the Magic are eighth right now).

The #Spurs have consistently found energy. The ability to get to the line in the 2d half helped them persevere and take control of this one. The #Magic just look frustrated. They were really only locked in for the second quarter. Otherwise, a sloppy showing.

Jalen Suggs just hit the side of the backboard on a wide-open three. That came after he blew a wide-open layup. He is 2 for 11 from the floor.
Anthony Black is 3 for 11.
It is really hard for this team to win when their guards are struggling that much.

The officials are simultaneously calling every little bump on the #Spurs & then letting everything go on every scrap involving the ball. The #Magic are struggling to get the same whistle. Oddly officiated game. Both teams are complaining. Still 28-6 FT advantage for the Spurs.

This quarter has been all about composure. Really this game is about composure. Bane called for a flagrant foul for delivering a shoulder check to Wemby running down the floor. A lot of frustration about the foul calls tonight. #Magic have lost their cool.

The #Spurs playing on adrenaline is one thing. But the #Maic have given up seven free throw attempts in seven minutes. Just a really imprecise game. They look like something worse than a team that was cooped up in a hotel room all day. Just getting outworked.
