In other news...
Infusion 5 was a marathon. Had a repeat echo at 8:30, then chemo wasn't until 11:30. I go in a little early to see if they could get labs done, and I'm glad I did - the SMH main lab kept crashing so they were backed up. Luckily they were able to run mine in the infusion center.

You know what I love about not being on birth control/horomones anymore? How I can bawl my eyes out at the commerical of the little girl who sells hot cocoa out the back of her parents car and then donating all she made to the bell-ringer guy across the street...

4th chemo done, 1/3 of the way done with it all. Fatigue is staring to catch up with me, my white count is falling slightly each week (but still within the normal range), and my kidney function numbers are a little off (but chemo is known to do that). <1/2>

Chemo No. 1 is in the books.
Had a reaction to the HER2 medication (I was shivering but I wasn't cold), but I read that reactions during the first infusion are somewhat common. The pre-chemo meds (pepcid, benadryl and anti-nausea) knocked out that reaction quickly and we were able to finish.

2 Sundays ago, Chris did his laundry and hung up some of the shirts he didn't want to go in the dryer. One of them was this Broncos shirt.
I took a small piece of tape and wrote "BIRDS" on it, and taped it over the word "Broncos." And it hung up until it was dry. And then he put it in the closet.

Had my first intro/meet and greet appointment with my radiologist today. I really like him.
While we were chatting, I brought up dad and his radiation journey and timeline. And I mentioned that he loved his radiologist, she was amazing.

The special soap they gave me to use before surgery tomorrow smells like highly concentrated rubbing alcohol. I may have caught a small chemical high.
(And I have to take ANOTHER shower with a second bottle before we go to the hospital tomorrow at the butt crack of day!)

So far we've gone for nightly swims at the indoor pool, staked out a "regular" place on the beach every day, and yesterday I took SpongeBob back to his natural habitat. 😂 Going to see Bodie Island today and putt-putting tonight!
