Did I like Peacemaker season 2? Yes. Am I worried that it fell into the MCU trap of spending too much time setting up future projects? Also yes. Is it some of the weakest writing and characterisation James Gunn has produced? Not saying it's terrible, but sadly yes.

Finally watched and finished the HBO series Rome. A good show that was cut too short. It had the usual HBO premium problems with casual displays of misogyny and SA, all in the name of "historical accuracy," when it was really just poor handling of the subject.

I still prefer Deawood.

Just thinking, for no reason, about how in Star Trek, at one point on the planet Vulcan all the assholes got into a spaceship and fucked off for a thousand years. Vulcan became a revered world of scientists and explorers and the assholes who left became the miserable, paranoid Romulan Star Empire.
