Figuring out how to market UberQuest to more people has been an interesting deep dive into why certain genres appeal to certain audiences.
Unfortunately being a serialized dark fantasy drama in a world of fluffy feel-good stories makes it challenging. Furries (in my experience) want easy comfort.

I did a series of 'Dad Quest' of characters interacting with their dads some years back, so how about Mom Quest?

You have to really love writing. It should make you excited and giddy to do it. If you don't have that passion, you may not get far your writing journey. It's not easy, just like drawing isn't easy but if you like to do it and want to learn, you will improve.

Sometimes I wonder if our many years of jokes about writers hating writing and doing anything but writing, etc, have convinced people that the writing part is the hurdle and the goal is just to have a thing in hand. But I am here to tell you: the writing is the best part. The act is the thing.

Personal Pet Peeve: People use the word Antisocial to describe anyone who is shy,introverted or neurodivergent - instead of what antisocial really means - lacking empathy, being manipulative and cruel.

Shy, introverted and neurodivergent people do not hate socializing, its just overwhelming.
