To anyone who needs it today: credit your translator. A good translator's skills are at least as important as those of the original creator. Imagine if someone were to build a life sized replica of the Eiffel Tower out of matchsticks, you wouldn't just credit Gustave Eiffel - would you?

As this is the year of @damianbarr.bsky.social's #TheTwoRoberts, it was great to bump into some of their work in #Dundee's wonderful McManus Art Gallery & Museum, and to see their story told with such kindness and respect in the labels.

Wonderful to hear @damianbarr.bsky.social talking about #ForgottenLove, and bringing truth to life through fiction at the Edinburgh Book Festival this afternoon. So looking forward to reading it - also to the 'Two Roberts' work coming up from Charleston (eventually)!
