This @petridishes.bsky.social article in the @theatlantic.com would be riotously funny if it weren't such a sad commentary on the current state of affairs. Nice work Ms. Petri! www.theatlantic.com/newsletters/...

My local @kera.org / @keranews.org is asking for your help to protect public media. It's time, they need us, but even more so the rural stations that will go OFF THE AIR with cuts to @pbs.org and @npr.org. Many till have no local news source or warning about severe weather. www.kera.org/protect/
Protect KERA and Public Media | KERA
This is the biggest threat to public media funding in decades. Now is the time to make your voice heard. KERA is supported by its members, the North Texas community and federal funding. But right now,...

The Digable Planets turned me on to Nikki Giovanni in "Swoon Units" and I'm sure glad they did. She left us today so do a #boroughcheck on your people and love them before they're gone.

Minimum waste, maximum joy.
I’m no smooth operator, but I aspire to this maxim, and Sadé is one of the most underrated modern ensembles.
That is all, goodnight.

@kevinkelly.bsky.social, who you may know of as a WIREDmag / @LongNowFoundation OG wrote a helluva book, and every bit of it is good advice. His prose encourages you to read leisurely, and your mind will wander with each one, remarking about many of their relevance to your own journey. 1/2.

This is really cool for us noobs, when not throttled. I’ll try again in five minutes. I’ve only tried the skeet.labnotes.org method though. YMMV

There are no coincidences in Austin, apparently. Should this replace the "Keep Austin Weird" motto? We all know that shit has flown the coop.

. @radiofreetom.bsky.social in today’s @theatlantic.bsky.social Daily said, “The only sure way to stop Trump is with a resounding and undeniable defeat at the ballot box.” The article quotes David Frum RE: the 14th saying It would surely be weaponizedb, so Mr. Nichols’ statement rings “extra true”

DanPatrick took THREE MILLION DOLLARS from a pro-Paxton PAC called Defend TX Liberty. They're trying to chill the march to justice for Ken Paxton by threatening to fight ANY Republicans who vote their conscience rather than siding with the PAC's position. I love Texas, but man, Texas gov is broken!

@knilirabaj.bsky.social - I'd like to help one of the causes you highlighted recently. Who should I gift the domain sexworkerunion.org to? I figure that's the logical next step since they get no representation now.
