It's so strange to be putting such a recent play on this list, but I did not grow up with this one. Finally got to experience it for the first time thanks to the GOG release. A classic that holds up very well. A tense gothic survival game that kept me on edge.

I'm glad there is a remaster out so this title is more accessible for people, but I will never forget playing this on an emulator in my early 20's and having the bejeezus scared out of me. It's shocking how well this old SNES title holds up, how much they got right early on.
