I was invited to Cebu by @playgubatbanwa.bsky.social folk to speak on Mangayaw. It was my first time outside of Luzon, and the farthest I have been away from home. Yet I felt welcome at every juncture of my whirlwind of a 2 day adventure in Cebu.

Fun(?) Fact DYK that one of the biggest inspirations for the mechanical design of Mangangayaw is our Nickelstick Balintawak GM, GM Nick and his brother, GM Verano

So think Balintawak with some Kuntao-like influences but especially GM Verano's low stance sea legs that he adapted from working at sea
