Eddington is the most important movie of our post-pandemic world, I think.

Just saw I Know What You Did Last Summer (2025) and absolutely adored it! it was so cute and fun, but one thing that really stood out to me was the music. I loved Scooby Doo growing up, specifically Scooby Doo Mystery Incorporated, and I immediately caught a motif used that series being repurposed!

Yesterday I watched 28 years later and was viscerally effected by it. As a person who's mother recently past away because of cancer, the film really made me reflect on my role as a son in her life. 10/10 I highly recommend.

Recently, I had to re-teach myself how to control tone quality and placement in my falsetto. after a couple days of practice I realized something. I was so scared of loosing that skill I spent years of my life working on. I felt like I lost a piece of my identity.

With the insane amount of censorship happening on instagram only a day after Trump became president: I am so happy I have Bluesky.

Crazy how this video posted to Instagram has had the feature allowing a user to share the reel to their story disabled...

For the record, if I accidentally did two Nazi salutes back to back, I’d probably be using the social media company I bought to say “holy shit I’m sorry, I did not meant to salute Adolf Hitler twice on my big day.” In fact I think this would be the response of most people

I decided last night was time for "evil salid" and I just put a bag of hot Cheetos, Funyins, and potato chaps in a paper tray and went to town.

My tummy hurt.

To the people saying Nosferatu suffers from Hollywood's uglification of monsters: you are blind. That is the most attractive vampire I have ever seen.

I kinda makes me angry that everyone who worked on Wolf Man says it's a horror movie about disease. Watching a loved one devolve into a barely recognizable shell of who they once were is scary, but it doesn't make them a monster.

Taking care of a sick parent is so sad. Watching someone who was always difficult devolve into a child is gutwrenching. You just want to shout, "Grow up!" But you can't. Because they're gone.

I have decided to re-name my Nosferatu thread.

Rape of Blood: Thoughts on Nosferatu

Better title, right?

The fact that Trump contributed to the TikTok banning and is now saying he's going to try to "get it back" when he's in office is insane. Like, he's literally trying to win support by causing a problem and the fixing it. So Fascist core.

It's hard to tell if two men in ye olden days were in love bc it was normal then as a guy to write to your guy friend that you pine for his embrace and the smell of his breath and you long beyond longing for his "fleshen tower which Providence must furely have fashioned and purposed for this aff"

Sex and Death: A review of Nosferatu

After finishing a screening of Nosferatu, by Robert Eggers, a friend I was seeing it with looked at me and uttered a statement that I think is the most concise way to describe my thoughts on this film: "I like it but in the way that I like Cats."

Very anxious about this ceasefire deal. Everyone’s acting like it’s a done deal but it doesn’t seem to have been pushed through yet and I dont trust anything at this point. Very much hoping

Earnest post, but: a thing I like here is it’s okay to have moments of happiness in public without being broadly scolded, and I believe that sustaining this kind of humanity will be very important as we resist fascism.

We have to sustain each other. Making joy isn’t denial, it’s how we will survive
