My kids asked if I have a celebrity crush. I said "Yeah, Kurt Gödel." They're now reading from Wikipedia while howling at how lame I am. "Mom! A dead recluse mathematician is your celebrity crush?!" "Do you have Dad read the incompleteness theorems to you?" Kids are amazing for real tho. So funny.

One reason I favor impeaching Noem is because it's a political process for a political problem. No, this will not stop ICE enforcement action but YES it would be an opportunity to educate the public about DHS & perhaps begin to lay a foundation for dismantling it.

Remembering today that having your heart broken is a necessary step on the path to becoming fully human. Whichever heartbreak is your first, it’s probably critical that a state break your heart so that you can develop a political imagination. If this is your first, I’m sorry and also welcome.

Editorial in the National Catholic Reporter: "The vice president's comments justifying the death of Renee Good are a moral stain on the collective witness of our Catholic faith. His repeated attempts to blame Good for her own death are fundamentally incompatible with the Gospel."
Catholic Vice President Vance takes to social media to justify killing of Renee Good
After the tragic shooting of Renee Good at the hands of ICE, the Catholic vice president of the United States took to social media to justify the killing.

If your position is that regime change should be forced on countries where the president does not respect democratic norms and regularly kidnaps opponents using an officially sanctioned paramiliatary, have I got news for you about your position on the United States

It's only a 30-second promo but here it is if you didn't get a chance to see it.

Meg’s on it, as always. I wish a variant of the phrase she used had occurred to me last year. Yes, if you’re on chemo, no one else is supposed to come in contact with your bodily emissions. Which meant condoms for both of us. On the plus side, I finally found condoms that fit.

I saw my teen get the ping that this newsletter hit her inbox and I watched her face go through some really complicated emotions when she read the title. And then she was like, "I read everything you write but I might give this a miss." lolol

I've been out of this world because of chemo and so I really don't know if this is a joke or real, Joshua. Either way it made me laugh/recoil in horror.
