Early 2000's: Toyble writes Dragon Ball fan manga, Broly is there for some reason.

Thanks. It's just a weird hangup on appearing more weird than necessary. Not to imaginary strangers, not to the few friends I do have. Don't be horny, keep any sexual confusion to yourself, try not to be cringe or annoying. Obviously that includes feelings of loneliness. Be relatively normal.
Freeza will probably need someone to play off of if they really intend to keep him around... Assuming the story ever actually continues.
Doesn't he just show up, instakill the arc's antagonist, laugh, then leave? He's certainly comfortably back on top. It's also a hilarious way to leave things hanging. Crazy how Freeza's been permanently reinstated in modern DB.

And Super Saiyan mash ups have always been in Toyo's wheelhouse.
I actually haven't read the Super manga at all but flipping through the last volume and seeing that battle being essentially the last proper thing that happens feels like the ultimate jingling of keys. Here's the Saiyans and their epic merchandisable forms fighting each other!
Sometimes I wish I felt comfortable just being a little bit unhinged.
Of course, in the end, they will save each other.
Tifa is affected by this too as her own selfishness and insecurities are further exploited by the situation. It's the same basic setup as the OG, but excusing Cloud's behaviour in a desperate attempt to cling on to a link to her past comes across as much more irresponsible in the remake series.
Yet Aerith is practically an inversion of this. She is wrapping Cloud up in a delusion, desperate to keep him 'safe' at the expense of his own sanity. There is this push and pull between them that Cloud is caught in the middle of that in my interpretation is cruel either way.
Sephiroth is the bad guy because he is using the metanarrative to reinforce and amplify one of the most traumatic events Cloud ever goes through in order to completely break him.
I know people view what they're doing with Aerith in Rebirth as vapid and purely motivated to drive speculation, and perhaps it broadly is, but I find the situation Cloud is in to be very interesting.
I think if you could just edit your gender/appearance back and forth like a video game character creator then a lot more people would do it than they'd admit.
Yeah, considering both are 'correct'. It is what it is but they could've at least packed in the old BD for the option.
They apparently rescanned, cleaned it up and put it in the correct aspect ratio (1:85:1 as opposed to 1:78:1 in many other releases). There's a new 5.1 audio mix, too. Unfortunately the open matte version was dropped for the 4K so there's still a reason to own the Blu-ray.
I think I'll just do a hard swerve and blind buy Sinners, adding to Batman Mask of the Phantasm (nearly watched it on Blu-ray but wanted the proper theatrical aspect ratio...) and Millennium Actress. All new to me.
Trying to pick a selection of 4K releases for a multi-buy deal and apparently Batman Ninja vs Yakuza League only has English SDH and not a dedicated subtitle track for the Japanese audio? Lol what?
Real but with a very troubled development from what I can tell.
The model alterations in the remaster doesn't help either
You can just sit back and watch the film in Japanese and English subtitles pop up for lines that were inserted for the English dub. Awesome job, Warner.
It wasn't so long ago that you could only play FF in English. Even now X has no official JP option.

I see it similarly to Kingdom Hearts. Between the subject matter and localisation process it just seems like a lot of effort for a niche interest. Though the PC version of KH3 did include JP audio for the first time in the series so hopefully that trend continues.
I don't think there's much incentive to go through the effort to make that possible in all the games. For a lot of people the English version IS MGS, especially due to the setting. There's probably some wonky mods out there but the honest solution is to learn JP and play the JP version.
It's one of those things that's simply never going to happen. Just the way it is.
Oh right he got a suspended sentence (which ended this year). He vowed to rehabilitate himself in that period and here we are. I guess that's all it takes to get back to manga.
I kinda assumed Suzuki was in prison tbh
