Hair Study

Coloring study for stylized anime hair. Details what separate elements I think make for appealing rendered hair: rim lighting, subtle detailing within the light and shadow side, hair highlights, and extra environmental lighting to describe more of the form. Also shows how rendering an apple can be similar to rendering hair, as well as some other rendered samples of different colored hair strands.

Making yourself dependent on external appreciation is very dangerous. I did this and it ruined how I perceive my own art:
I started to hate my art even though the moment before I posted it I was content with it.
So don't let this negate all your positive feelings you had towards your work.

Technically most of them were done prior but all came out this year. These are some of the projects that pushed to me the next level either in terms of rendering technique or thinking deeper how to interpret the story and deliver it as a cover
