I'm double dipping i know i know - I've been trying to figure out why my models tend to look weird when I render them pbr, I feel like it muddies the textures. I rendered it again with workbench textures and I'm a lil happier with it - I think from now on I'm just gonna render them flat like this

Happy new year! I'm still busy and dont really have energy to make a big fancy post or anything but I'm really happy with how 2025 went - at least the last 3 months of it!
Had a good chunk of failures but also some success, I'm really happy with my [still ongoing] learning though!

this year most of my (imo best) work was during art fight and disc art trades so I did 2 to show my personal work (left) and one with just ocs (right) that do not belong to me
overall proud of my art output this year, wish I did more but I did do art fight finally so HUGE WIN!

Back to work! didnt realize I'd been having a break for 4 days, gonna try focus an get stuff done as possible by 2026 - rly anxious abt reopening comms next year - also excited, lots of unknowns!

I think im getting the hang of texture painting again, using a noisy brush really helps getting the gradients, without yucky opacity bands or round marks, and without looking really smudgy - it reminds me of airbrushing! And has the extra bit of texture that i like
