d something to be smooth and blobby, like hair or fur tufts

theres also the korean bevel which isnt really a subdiv thing but is more of a thing to make shading smoothen out

yeah generally the more geometry you add to a model before you subsurface it the less of a difference you'll see - you can also reduce the shrinking by turning off "use limit surface"

edge creases also let you get the same effect without adding more geometry, which is what I use unless I really nee

a bit regressive to encourage learning sculpting considering the reasons most people learn modelling is to make stuff for vrchat / animating / game dev, and you can make your models a lot more optimized and performant by box modelling or low poly
really wish there were better resources but also

Freaking hate the donut, and the creator was super big on crypto (and is now super big on ai, surprise) - hes not an artist, just makes shitty product renders

still kinda confused, 6 doesnt seem like that much considering how many sculpts you do... I thought those sculpts were textured too but maybe i'm mistaken
makes sense to have a smaller goal when it comes to new year resolutions tho

As long as you’re changing it enough to be actually different - like I said a lot of the big 3d modellers use a single base and barely change it lol, as long as you’re not doing that you’re fine

Fair, I tend to reuse tails like that too - I just change the geometry and textures enough to be different
For me it’s like, the models already take 100 hours, I’d rather not waste 90 minutes stressing about making fluff look good on a new tail that looks basically the same as one I’ve made

Tbh a lot of the popular commission people work off of bases and are basically doing that already - I think it’s fine as long as you’re making everything match the ref - I often will reuse teeth between different models, bc it’s something Ive already made and there’s not much difference between them

Also encouraged being experimental, you could post sketches and experiments and art that didn’t really feel like your best work but just put it in a folder

I have heard of things that are like, bluesky but with a different front-end like pinksky which has a ui closer to instagram, haven’t used tho
